ALAIN FORMAGGIO is a cop and an instructor in self defense.
Founder of the F.F.T.S in 1993, he was the first person to propose training courses for security professionals in tonfa, telescopic stick and self defense. 8th degree, international expert in telescopic stick, Alain Formaggio is now the national technical manager of the F.F.T.S.

Alain is state graduate in Savate-French-Boxing, member of the national committee of Savate Defense and Stick and he was the first French police forces member to earn a diploma from the international federation of Krav Maga.

This film demonstrates basic and advanced techniques with the Protection Telescopic Stick (PTS) and with training pedagogic exercises.

All sequences were filmed on location, with real life aggression scenarios. You will find various ways to carry the PTS, how to get the weapon out, the different stances, active and passive, with the shut or open stick, as well as dodges, parry, and counterattack adapted to the telescopic stick against various grips : chokes, punches, kicks, knives attacks, blackjack, or base-ball bat...
